Can Humanists 'pray' for the missing plane?
Coming from a culture that has a religious heritage my initial thought is of prayer solely as a Religious communication from an individual or congregation to a holy deity, but then I think again.
Surely when we think of others and we hope for the best.
When we take some quiet time to mull how precious life is.
When we dream of happiness and opportunities for all.
We can think of this as Humanist prayer.
And so I say a Humanist prayer for flight MH370.
Not to a god, but to the families and to those searching and hoping for the best, for a swift and happy conclusion to this mysterious event.
